Privacy Policy

In short: We keep only what we need to run your account. Most apps don't save your questions at all. StudyXplainr saves students' questions and answers so a linked parent can see them. Nothing you submit is used to train any AI, and we never sell or give away your information. We share it only with the services that run XplainrHub, as listed in section 4.

1. What we collect

Account details: your email address and your full name if you give one at sign-up. Passwords are handled by our login provider (Supabase) and are never visible to us.
Credits and purchases: your credit balance and purchase records. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
What you submit: the questions, documents and photos you send to an app, which we process to create your answer (see below for what is saved).
Basic technical logs: our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard request information, like time and browser type, to keep the site running and secure. Our server logs also record how much each answer cost to produce. These records don't include what you asked.

2. What each app saves

Xplainr Pro apps (MedeXplainr, LegaleXplainr, YourMoneyXplainr, SEOXplainr and the others): your questions and answers are not saved after your answer is delivered.
PlanListGo: your checklists are saved to your account so you can open them on any device. You can delete them at any time.
StudyXplainr: students' questions and answers (and a note if a photo was attached) are saved to the student's account so the student and any linked parent or guardian can review them. Photos themselves are not saved. Students can delete their history at any time from the app.

3. How AI processing works

To create answers, we send what you submit to Anthropic's Claude API. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, content sent through the API is not used to train their models. Some answers (for example in SEOXplainr) also use web search to check current information. Your account details are not sent with web searches.

4. Who we share information with

We never sell your information or use it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers that run XplainrHub, and only as needed:

Supabase (accounts and database)
Stripe (payments)
Vercel (hosting)
Anthropic (AI answers)
Resend (account emails such as confirmations and password resets)

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

5. Students and parents (StudyXplainr)

XplainrHub is not for children under 14, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 14 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
StudyXplainr students confirm that they are 14 or older and that a parent or guardian knows they are using it.
A student can link up to two parents or guardians using a one-time code. A linked parent can read the student's saved StudyXplainr questions and answers. A linked parent can't see the student's other XplainrHub activity.
Either the student or the parent can remove the link at any time.

6. Keeping and deleting information

We keep account information while your account is open. You can delete PlanListGo checklists and StudyXplainr history in the apps. To delete your whole account and everything saved with it, contact us at xplainrhub@pm.me.

7. Security

Connections to XplainrHub are encrypted, saved data is protected so that only your account (and, for StudyXplainr, a linked parent) can see it, and AI prompts and keys stay on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't submit passwords, account numbers or Social Security numbers.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the apps where reasonable.
